Through the magnificent 18th Century portal we enter a romantic court yard which connects Palazzo De Ferrariis to Palazzo Carata. On Jannuary 25th 1648 Antonio De Ferrariis married Laura Carata and Palazzo De Ferrariis went on to be the newlyweds home and eventually the building was enlarged to fit the needs of the new family.
Palazzo Carata - de Ferrariis is composed by 5 selfcontained apartaments with a club house - internet cafe at the ground floor and e adjacent romantic court yard.
Palazzo Carata - de Ferrariis ( to day known as Palazzo Vaglio ) is one of the most ancient buildings in the historical centre Galatone. One of the Carata - De Ferrariis ancestor was famous Antonio De Ferrariis GALATEO (1448-1517), personal Doctor of the King Federico d’Aragona.
