Following restoration, Palazzo Carata - De Ferrariis was divided into 4 self contained beautiful apartments. On the ground floor, and connected to the magnificent court yard, there is a club house with internet cafe. Upon request light meals can be served. Through the superb 1700 stone portal and crossing the romatic court yard, there is the nice lattice iron gate of " Il Ficus " a 1700 s.f. apartment with 1650 s.f. of terraces, composed as follows: The ground floor: living room with a magnificent 1500's fireplace and several " pietra leccese " stone architectural details, dining room, full kitchen and bathroom w/shower. All ceilings are with exposed double cross vaults and flooring are made of a beautiful traditional compound called " lastrico battuto ". The sofa is a sleeper for 2 people. The 1st floor is composed of one main bedroom with full bathroom and two double-bed bedrooms, with shower bathroom. The Flooring is made of "pietra leccese " tiles panel style, all double cross vaults ceilings. The last one of the two double bedrooms has its own entrance from the ground floor court yard. So, if needed, this room could be used as a separate unit as it is served as well by private bathroom, kitchenette, murphy double bed and pull down dining table. " Il Ficus " has heating and air conditioning. Original doors and windows have been restored or replaced with accurate reproductions when repair wasn't possible. All rooms have nice wall closets with gracious furnishing in decor with antiques, antique reproductions, rugs, etc.

Through a pleasant olive and pine wood portal gate decorated with iron nails 1800 portal we enter the all stone paved and exposed original stone walls hall at the number 10 of Vittorio Emanuele III street. At the left side is a fascinating door leading to the cozy club house. Straight ahead through a nice 1800 stone arch, on the left an antique stone well, we climb the " pietra leccese" staircase under elegant vaults and to the 1st floor: On the right stands the original main door of " La Lavanda", a 1300 s.f. apartment with 1120 s.f of terraces, composed as follows: Wide entrance comunicating on the right side to a delightful terrace for breakfast to the left through a large arch to the living room , dining room and kitchen( the sofa is a sleeper for 2 people ), straight away through another arch a U shaped hall with three antique doors: on the left the main bedroom with bathroom, on the front to the bathroom, on the right to the other main bedroom with bathroom and terrace as well as an exit to the breakfast terrace. This room has a gorgeous, intricate rococo arch. All ceilings have double cross vaults and the flooring is made of a beautiful traditional compound called " lastrico battuto ". On the left: the main door of " La Mimosa "a 1300 s.f. apartment with 600 s.f. of terraces, composed as follows: Entrance and just in front of it a roomy walk -in closet, on the right side an antique door leads to a wide kitchen, on the left, through a semi-circular arch, we enter a first living room and through another larger arch, into a 2nd living room and dinig-room which, is connected to the kitchen by sliding doors . A cozy bathroom with shower completes this floor. 1st living room and kitchen ceilings are with cloister vaults, 2nd living and dining room ceilings are with barrel vault, floorings are made of a beautiful traditional compound called " lastrico battuto "and pietra leccese tiles. Climbing a ( pietra leccese stone staircase we get on the 2nd floor through an arch we enter a hallway leading to the 1st main bedroom equiped with walk-in closet, to the full bathroom and to the 2nd main bedroom equipped with walk-in closet as well. Both bedrooms have an exit to a beautiful view terrace. " La Mimosa " has heating and air conditioning.
